Nice to meet you, my name is Aki. I’m from Mie Prefecture and have lived in Osaka, Yokohama, and Tokyo. I can speak standard Japanese, Kansai dialect, and Mie dialect. I currently live in a town called Schiedam in the Netherlands.
My hobbies include traveling and reading. I also enjoy looking at paintings in art museums.
In my lessons, I follow the textbook, but I make sure to include plenty of conversation practice. In addition to English, I can also offer support in basic Dutch if needed.

Mainly use “Irodori”, “Spoken Japanese” for elementary and intermediate students. Other materials, “Minna no Nihongo”, “Dekiru Nihongo” are also available. A lot of role plays, pattern practices, free talks are provided, because I’d like students talk more than teacher during a lesson. Any kinds of questions and by talks are always welcome. I will speak in Japanese as much as possible, adjusting to student’s Japanese level, but it’s also fine to speak in English.
