Hello! I’m a naturally curious person who loves connecting with students from all over the world. I enjoy discussing a wide variety of topics, and since I also watch anime from time to time, I’m always happy to talk about anime and manga!
I’m passionate about language learning and have studied abroad in both Malta and the Philippines. I’m currently living in New Zealand. I also love animals—in my family home in Japan, we have a dog and a cat.
Manga & Anime
We can have lessons while watching anime together (limited to content without copyright issues). You can practice explaining your favorite anime or manga and sharing your thoughts. If there are any lines from anime or manga that you’re curious about, I can explain them in detail.
English Support
For beginner learners, I use simple English during lessons, so please don’t worry about communication. While my English isn’t perfect, I can share my screen and use a translation app to help explain more complex grammar and vocabulary when needed.
Qualifications
Certified Japanese Language Teacher (Registered with the national system)
Passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test
Completed the 420-hour Japanese Teacher Training Course
Experience
5 years with the Tokyo Fire Department (as firefighter, paramedic, and office staff)
2 years teaching Japanese online
Lexus Emergency Support Desk (roadside assistance operator)
Certifications
Third-Class Land Special Radio Operator / Type B, Class 4 Hazardous Materials Handler License / Kendo (Level 3) / Fire Prevention Inspector / Food and Nutrition Advisor (Level 3) / Licensed Nutritionist / Open Water Diving License
