I am currently tooking lessons with Mayu-sensei and she is extremely professional and patient. She encourages me to speak only Japanese and not be afraid of making mistakes. I like her method, especially the fact that she uses different materials to stimulate conversation (e.g. watching anime, reading newspaper articles, etc.). After each lessons she also send me notes on new vocabs and learned expression. I highly recommend to choose her lessons if you know a little bit of grammar and want to experiment real-life conversations.

Mayu-sensei is an incredibly patient and supportive teacher who is helping me a lot on my journey to improve my Japanese conversation skills. I really enjoy the free talk classes because they push me out of my comfort zone and encourage me to speak more Japanese, which is something I currently struggle with. Moreover, since we can talk about any topic, the classes are always fun and engaging. Mayu-sensei always explains any words or grammar points I don’t understand in a patient and gentle way, and she always sends me a summary of what I struggled with during the class, which makes it so much easier for me to review and study on my own at home. I’m very grateful to have found Mayu-sensei, and I look forward to continuing my Japanese learning journey with her guidance.

I've been taking lessons with Mayu Sensei for a few months and really appreciate how she tailors my lessons to things we both experience in our everyday life. Aside from casual conversation, when I mentioned an upcoming trip to Japan, she pivoted towards role play conversations that would help me on my trip. Although I sometimes struggle with being confident in my conversational ability, Mayu Sensei has always been so positive and encouraging, and I've never once felt ashamed when making mistakes. If you're looking for a fun and stress-free environment to practice your conversational skills, I'd highly recommend taking lessons with Mayu Sensei!

Mayu先生 is a wonderful teacher! I have completed roughly 15 with Mayu on Sayas Japanese Lessons and I look forward to more. To me, the best part of learning a new language is getting to have conversations with people I would otherwise never meet, or get to have a conversation with. I am especially grateful for these conversations because they feel real and natural. That's special to me, because, that requires patience, understanding, and sometimes help from Mayu while I figure out how I'm going to use these words together in real time. In my native language, I often speak without thinking and make no senese, so I can't begin to imagine what it takes to attempt to understand me in Japanese 笑。TLDR; I am getting to do what I enjoy most about language learning while being able to improve my speaking skills in applicable, friend-making ways. I always look forward to my free talk classes with Mayu sensei. She is a friendly teacher who speaks in a very easy-to-understand way, while still challenging me to learn new vocabulary. We cover a wide range of topics, from daily life to world news, as well as Japanese culture-related subjects such as sumo and anime. I think Mayu sensei is an amazing teacher to practice conversation with!

Classes with Mayu are always pleasant and truly helpful. She is a very kind person and I truly feel that my japanese is getting so much better thanks to her. Her laid-back and relaxed style really allows for a stress-free environment.

Class with Mayu Sensei always goes too quickly! She does a great job of flowing between topics and guiding me when I have a hard time expressing my thoughts in Japanese.
