Hello! I’m Yumiko, and I live in Aichi Prefecture.
My hobbies are traveling, cafe hopping, and visiting shrines. Things I love include nature, coffee, giraffes, koalas, and folk crafts.
I studied abroad in Taiwan during my university years, so I can speak conversational Chinese. I can also speak English at a conversational level.
I’m happy to discuss a wide range of topics, from anime and manga to shrines and Japanese mythology!
During lessons, I will encourage you with a bright smile☺️.
I look forward to meeting all of you!

I have experience working at a major company with over 100 years of history, in a venture company, and as a sole proprietor exhibiting at trade shows. These various business experiences have taught me that “communication” is incredibly important in Japanese business settings.
In my lessons, I teach “Japanese-specific business customs” and “Japanese expressions for smooth communication with superiors, colleagues, and clients,” helping students to thrive in their workplaces and succeed in their jobs.

I am currently taking lessons with Mayu-sensei and she is extremely professional and patient. She encourages me to speak only Japanese and not be afraid of making mistakes. I like her method, especially the fact that she uses different materials to stimulate conversation (e.g. watching anime, reading newspaper articles, etc.). After each lessons she also send me notes on new vocabs and learned expression. I highly recommend to choose her lessons if you know a little bit of grammar and want to experiment real-life conversations
Ritsuko sensei is a friendly and professional teacher, truly attentive to students’ needs and always able to explain words I don’t quite understand. I feel like I can talk to her about anything. Her lessons are structured and based on a textbook, while at the same time being focused on speaking and listening. This means I’m able to track my progress and stay motivated as well as get some conversation practice, which was exactly what I was looking for. I think Ritsuko sensei is an amazing teacher for intermediate/advanced level students!
Enty is a great teacher! She doesn't just use a textbook for her lessons, but combines various worksheets and book pages, which I really appreciate. She also gives me space to ask questions and takes my individual preferences into account when I want to learn something specific
Yumiko-sensei is so delightful! She makes learning formal Japanese challenging and fun. I really appreciate the detailed notes she makes after every lesson.
