I have been studying Japanese for about 5 years, but it has not been as fun as it is with Fuji Sensei. Fuji Sensei uses relevant pop culture examples to help understand Japanese grammar points and vocabulary, which are also extremely useful for referencing the document that lists what we spoke about during the lesson. Conversations with Fuji Sensei feel like I'm speaking to a friend, but in Japanese. I feel very comfortable trying my best to explain myself in Japanese using simple sentences, and Fuji Sensei never makes me feel silly for being confused. I believe it is important to be honest while using Japanese, for the sake of conversation engagement, and to reinforce the sentences that I am speaking so that I am learning fully. Fuji Sensei will always give me the time and will work with me so that I am understood. I am more motivated now than ever to study Japanese and have better conversations with Fuji Sensei, and hopefully one day become conversationally fluent. I look forward to every lesson!

Fuji sensei is an excellent Japanese instructor. I have no knowledge of the Japanese language. Her class has taught me a great deal. Since my objectives are different, Fuji sensei created a lesson specifically for me. She teaches in a genuine, approachable, and efficient manner. Fuji sensei makes sure that I understand the fundamentals, including greetings, verbs, nouns, adjectives, letter reading, writing practice, listening practice, and verbal practice. I want to move slowly so that I can understand the majority of what is being said. Fuji sensei has made complex grammatical ideas simple enough for me to understand. I make mistakes a lot of the time and forget things, but Fuji sensei is always understanding and forgiving of my errors; by doing this, she ensures that I don't feel uncomfortable when I make mistakes. In order to stay motivated to speak more Japanese, I have also practiced daily small talk with her that is relevant to our daily lives. In terms of my own language proficiency, I have gain significantly, and I owe Fuji sensei a huge debt of gratitude for that. Her courses have helped me become more proficient in speaking, listening, writing, and reading Japanese. I'm going to keep picking up knowledge from Fuji sensei. Fuji-sensei is a very understanding, helpful, and methodological teacher who makes sure you understand all the things that are important and keep making progress throughout the lesson. I can highly recommend taking lessons with Fuji-sensei.

Fuji sensei’s personality and professional ethic is a statement to who she is as a teacher. Competent, dedicated, and friendly. Staying over class time until I understand the lesson, helping outside of class, and adapting her teaching to my learning style are just some examples of the many excellent experiences I’ve had learning from her these past 10 months.
