When I was taking English conversation lessons, my teacher pointed out that my pronunciation was incorrect. She told me to be careful, since it sounded like a different word. I was so embarrassed. But of course, I’m grateful to my teacher for having the courage to correct me. Since I was speaking English with customers at work, it really helped me become more careful when I spoke.

One time, I went to play a crane game with my younger sister and my niece, and the three of us kept playing until we finally won a Pokémon plush toy. After spending 2,000 yen, I thought, “There’s no turning back now!!” and got even more fired up, so I ended up spending even more money 💸 Let’s just call it the cost of learning crane game strategy and the price of the plush toy. The moment we finally won it, all of us were absolutely thrilled.
